We bought this 14K BTU Whntyer AC because our Great Room is 15 x 35 feet & we needed some oomphf to get it cooled. We got the oomphf, all right, and the Great Room is now really...Great!
Came as described. Worked right out of the box as described (the website video was a big help). Not a problem with condensed water backing up; heck, after the first few days of checking, we just left the drain plug out for good. (Gotta love this SoCal humidity!) The people at QM were helpful when our first pick didn't work out, so we know where to look first in future!

Little cooling power and poor design

This portable unit blows the air straight up but the fan power isn't strong enough for it to circulate the room properly so I followed the advice of people on the internet and used a box to funnel the cool air more directly into the room which has helped a bit. Also despite the 14,000 BTU and dual hose configuration it doesn't cool a room much better than a single hose 8,000 Soleus unit I bought for half the price.

Great air conditioner for a bedroom

I bought this air conditioner for the 7 or so days that are unbearable for a native of the Pacific Northwest. This can cool a room about 150 Sq ft with a vaulted ceiling in 30 minutes, despite having a 1000 watt computer, Sound system and 40 inch TV turned on, AND a poor seal on the window. And that is the one con so far about this unit, is the window bracket is not big enough to fit in my horizontal sliding window ( would probably fit in a traditional up and down window though.) The other thing you will notice is the noise. It isn't so bad that you can't stand it, but it is hard to sleep with it on. Haven't tried it in a larger room, but I imagine it would do the same good job, just take a little longer. Overall, I love it. Especially because I am the only one in my household not baking in my bed during the summer!

This portable air conditioner will exceed your expectations as to what a portable can do. Great cooling power, great features, and great styling also. Noise level is more than I would have liked, but is well within the acceptable range for these types of units. It cools our large, (500+ sqf) vaulted ceiling (14 ft high) bedroom with no problem, even on the hottest of days in the mid-90's and high humidity, and the dual exhaust really helps the unit in this area. Highly recommend.
Good product + good service = GOOD BUY!
