Description Technical Specs Warranty info   The Whynter PTC-2000S (Positive Temperature Coefficient) ceramic heater uses ceramic heating elements that retain more heat than some other types of heating elements and the heater cycles on and off as necessary to maintain the thermostat temperature setting, thereby saving energy. The built-in thermostat saves energy by turning on and off the heater to maintain your desired temperature. Ceramic provides rapid heat transfer to achieve a factory pre-set temperature quickly without an open flame, minimizing any potential fire hazards. PTC heating elements are small ceramic stones with self temperature limiting characteristics. PTC stones have fast heating response times and plateau once the pre-defined reference temperature is reached. Ceramic heaters are fan heaters that utilize a special ceramic heating element. The heat is directed outward by a fan that blows the hot air into the room. Ceramic heaters provide fast and effective heat. Ceramic heaters also provide directional space heating.
