We have emptied a full container every day for the last 2 weeks. We have a finished basement which had a musty odor. The odor is gone which tells us that it's doing what it suppose to do. No way does it measure 70 pints, in fact it's on the small size, but that's okay. We had an old dehumidifier which needed to be replaced. This one surpasses the old in many many ways. I did a lot of research before purchasing this Soleus, in fact Consumer Reports listed this as excellent. Don't hesitate to buy this here @ Quality Matters because the bottom line was a better deal then all the others.

Quiet, efficient, and easy to set-up

Anticipating having to use my intuition, I found the instructions simple and accurate. I also had not problems attaching a hose for continuous draining. The unit runs quietly and removes moisture effectively in my cellar setting. The only challenge: the controls are on top of the unit where they may be hidden and less accessible if the unit is mounted close to the ceiling. I give this unit 4 stars and will give it 5 stars if it proves to be reliable for many years.
