This Soleus Dehumidifier 40 Pint with Humidistat CFM-40E features Powerful Dehumidifying Capability that will remove partial moisture from the air to decrease the humidity level of the room, Quiet Operation the noise level is very low at 41 decibels.

PLEASE NOTE:

The dehumidification capacity is rated at a room temperature of 86°F with a relative humidity of 80%.
If specifications are improved after this printing, the product nameplate will reflect the new specifications.
The operational temperature is in the range of 36°F to 98°F. If the room temperature is outside of this range, the unit will not operate normally.

***Please Note - this unit, like most other dehumidifiers, has a fan that runs 24/7

It's so quiet December 29, 2010

I looked at many reviews and searched many sights for dehumidifiers. The current model I have is a fedders 50 pint and its loud, hard to hear t.v. even when the dehumidifier is in the next room. I had to find something quiet!

So far I'm very pleased, the 40 pint Soleus is so quiet even on high. I'm so glade I bought it. I was going for the 70 pint Danby so many good reviews on it but last minute changed my mind.

I think I made good choice. Now I hope it keeps my humidity under control. My old fedders did good job but was loud and it cycled on off to much 2 minutes on, 2 minutes off. Drove me nuts.

This new Soleus just stays running with the fan on all the time and so quiet. My new fridge makes more noise then the Soleus.
