Very disappointed. Just as noisy as the Frigidaire I purchased and returned to sears. Thought I was getting an air conditioner (sharp) like my old sharp so quiet and performs efficiently. Old sharp made in Thailand, new one made in China just like Frigidaire. Noise caused by styrofoam insulation. Makes an annoying rubbing noise. Frigidaire had less styrofoam. I should have just kept it. I knew the old sharp had no styrofoam; I thought I was getting one made in Thailand and quiet. I am going to see if professionally if styrofoam can be removed. I like the size, weight, and control. If you don't want to be driven crazy by annoying sound; don't by it. It cost $200.00
