received this unit yesterday, swapping out edgestar that is has been moved upstairs to a bedroom the SPT is larger but sleeker looking hooking it up was easier than getting it out of box. It has more btus than edgestar so the fan is much more powerful and works great outside temp was 90 inside 80 and cooled two rooms in 2hrs I have it in a room that is separated by a halfwall and open doorways to kitchen and I have found that both units work equally well cooling this large an area with just an extra floor fan running between the two rooms up graded from the edgestar to SPT because wanted a heater to use in the winter for this same area and the edgestar w/heat did not have a low enough operating range as the temp in this area can drop to as low as 40when outside gets -30. the edgestar which I moved upstairs i have had 2 years and am very pleased with I hope that the SPT heater works as well as the cooling.
