I purchased this unit after researching online.
This unit claims to exhaust the water outside via the ductwork. My unit worked well for a week. It kept our bedroom cool, so we didn't have to run the central air all night. However, once mid-July hit, the unit will only run for about a 2-3 hour period before automatically shutting off. In order for it to come back on, you have to drain the unit by pulling a plug, and fitting a container underneath the drain (that is located about 1/2" off of the ground).
Once you find a container that is small enough to collect the water, it is nearly impossible to move the container without spilling water on the floor. I was told that I should get a hose and attach it to the unit for constant draining. How is water going to drain from the unit? The drain is 1/2" from the ground. I don't have any containers that size that will hold water.
Save your money, try another unit.

I just got the product yesterday. The box looks beat-up; and when I opened the box, some parts were cracked. I wasn't too happy. I turn it on and it works okay (still testing). The batteries for the remote was old and didn't work. I am not sure how long this product was sitting on the shelf. Contacted Customer Service and they sent new replacement part - FAST. I am happy with the unhappy customer service!!!! Change from 1 to 4 stars
