Fantastic sound for the size March 14, 2007 Reviewer: Tony from MI   This boombox has the best sound I have come across for an  ipod boombox. I have  tried ones from Altec Lansing, DLO, and many others. This box is very small but does not sound like it. The portability for carrying is wonderful and when I go to take it camping and have a million things to fit in my car..this will take up very little space.The bass is tight, the highs and midrange are great as well. A  great thing is that the I-Thunder does not  have to be cranked way up to sound good.. Sounds great on my desk at low volumes while I'm working. However if you want it to be loud such as when I'm outside at my country home, I can hear great sounding Ipod tunes all around the yard. Another genius thing is the simple holder for the remote built right into the back..keeps it tightly in place when not in use. For the price here..I feel you cannot go wrong. MTX iThunder March 14, 2007 Reviewer: Robin from Humble, TX United States   I ordered this player based on the (1) high review posted on this product.  Boy was I wrong for doing so.  The sound quality is not at all as published.  There is no base or treble controls and there are no 'highs' in the quality of sound, at all.  There is a decent amount of base if you listen to the player at a low volume.  If you attempt to increase the volume (as if you wanted to use in it a crowd or on the beach) the box starts making a rattling noise.  I am definately returning this player!!
