Pros: Reasonably attractive, relatively quiet and generally effective. Cons: I don't know if the following issue is unique to Danby (or this particularl model), but the exit point for the dehumidified air is very close to the on-board humistat. This skews accuracy and readings cannot be relied upon to ascertain relative humidity. Danby's claim that this unit is adequate to dehumidify 'up to 3,400 sft based on conditions' is extremely optimistic. I need 2 units, running 24/7, w/all windows/doors closed to maintain relative humidity @ 60% during summer months in a 1,900 sft home. Granted it's hot and humid in northern MS in the summer but 3,400 sft? Not even close. General caveat; be aware that dehumidifiers generate heat when the compressor is operating - consequently your A/C's efficiency will be impeded.
Does the job - but it's not a home run.
