About Rain Chains.....Rain Chains ('kusari dol' In Japanese) are hung from the corners of your roof, attached to the gutter system to guide the flow of water gently to the ground; they have been used in Japan for hundreds of years. Years ago, people used rain chains to guide the water into large barrels to catch the water from the roof for household purposes and gardening. Rain Chains are a beautiful alternative to metal or plastic closed gutter  downspouts. They guide water visibly downward to the ground. This is known as "open" water flow system. Rain Chains also sound great! Using our gutter attachment piece, rain chains are easily installed for an efficient and beautiful water flow system.

Catch Basins -The Japanese often put a ceramic or stoneware pot beneath the chain, filled with water, so that when it rains, the water drips from the chain into the pot, creating a beautiful display. You can make a square out of redwood beneath the chains and fill it with small pebbles. If it is damp regularly, moss will grow between the pebbles. You can also place a single paver tile or a few medium sized stones under the chain to break the fall of water. Your local nursery may have a large, low bowl or saucer that will make a good catch basin.

Warranty:
Rainchain, Inc. guarantees this product for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If, for any reason, a product breaks or fails, just call us & we will obtain a return authorization for the return. Our supplier will either repair the item you returned or send you a brand new one. Parts are also available.

Return policy:

For a buyer's remorse return please contact us. The product must be returned in unused condition. We cannot accept returns if any aging or damage (other than shipping damage) has occurred. Custom length rain chains are subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned. Also, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost & the original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.



For a damaged or defective exchange please contact us. We will have our supplier issue a call tag for pick up & have a replacement sent.
