Installing the unit was not as easy as everyone on the internet has made it out to be. The hose is not designed to be very long, so it absolutely must be near a window, and the window kit that it comes with is a very tough piece of plastic that comes in 3 pieces. In the instructions there is a picture of some guy cutting the window kit with a scissors (yeah, right, and I suppose it would therefore make sense to use a chainsaw to cut wrapping paper) but you're going to need either a saw or a very sharp knife. If you have neither, you will be required to improvise with some sort of insulation material or duct tape.
At any rate, the product far exceeded my expectations. My room is now freezing and I haven't had to empty the water bucket since I unpacked it. I haven't tried the dehumidifier yet, but I heard that it does make the unit fill up with water very quickly. Read the instructions carefully if you don't want anything to go wrong.
