Retort Pouch bags are a special flexible bag used for canning that were first developed for the military for MRE food supplies. Now you can package and seal meats, fruits, vegetables, pasta, beans any food desired for long-term shelf stable storage. The Vacuum-Sealed pouch must be pressure canned according to all canning instructions given when using glass jars or tin cans. The flexible canning retort pouch does not change how you handle food being preserved for shelf stability. The flexible retort packages are easier to store & non-breakable, unlike glass. They also store in smaller spaces and allow for long term shelf-ready products.
NOTE: NO BPA in the plastic. Pouches MUST be used with a chamber-style sealer equipped with two heat bars.
